Students are invited to submit entries according to the theme of the competition: What does MKS mean to me?

Terms & Conditions: 

• Participants must be K-12 students enrolled in Modern Knowledge Schools.
• Students are allowed to submit one entry only. If multiple entries are submitted, the last entry will be used.
• Physical artworks (hand-drawn, etc.) must be scanned and uploaded. Photographs of artworks are not acceptable. Digital art may be submitted providing it is wholly original work.
• Students should create a personalized logo or design using the letters M-K-S.
• Copying the designs of past submissions is not acceptable. 
• Phrases and titles such as quotes are allowed to be incorporated into the boards, however, they shouldn’t overpower the visuals. 
• If a student submits any work that is not theirs, they will be disqualified and banned from participating in any future contests held by the school.
• Students may use internet research as inspiration for their design, but submitted design should be entirely work created by the student. Keep any design or reference images, as these may be requested by contest organizers.
• The school reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate. 
• Prizes must be collected by winners, and they are non-transferable. 
• Submissions must be posted in the Google Form by the established due date.
• Winners will be chosen based on community voting. MKS Staff, students and parents, and the community will all be allowed to participate in the voting. 
• By participating in this competition, students agree to their submissions being shared on the school’s social media or other platforms. 
• Contest organizers reserve the right to change prizes and prize categories without notice.

All of the MKS Doodle Competition entries will be celebrated on this web page! A division winner will be chosen from each school (KG, ES, MS, HS) and up to 3 overall winners will be selected based on the voting results. 

The overall winners (K-12) may receive the following: 

PUBLIC RECOGNITION: The top winning design will be featured on the MKS website, social media platforms, and in the upper right hand corner of all 3,000 Google accounts at MKS. Everyone will see your amazing work! 

TOUCH OF ART PRIZES: Winners will receive a gift box from Touch of Art Bahrain. All participants will receive a discount voucher courtesy of Touch of Art Bahrain!

CASH PRIZES: one or more of the top winners may receive CASH PRIZES courtesy of the MKS HS Student Council. 

CHIPSY-TIME VOUCHERS: Enjoy some delicious treats courtesy of Chipsy-Time eatery! Chipsy-Time has been a supporter of MKS activities for a long time, and they have graciously provided vouchers for our students and families to enjoy as part of our Student Council competitions! Thank you, Chipsy Time! 

MARGHERITA RESTAURANT VOUCHERS: Several participating students will win vouchers to Margherita to enjoy a significant discount on their next meal. Margherita features a variety of delicious dishes including pizza as well as Italian and international offerings. Many thanks to Margherita for supporting student activities at MKS! 

Winning submissions will also be:

• Featured on the MKS website
• Posted on MKS Social Media
• Included in the 2021 yearbook

*If above prizes are not available, equivalent prize or cash award may be substituted at the discretion of contest organizers. 

The MKS Doodle is modeled on the annual Doodle for Google competition hosted by Google. Doodle for Google is an annual art contest open to students in grades K-12. Students are invited to create their own Google doodle for the chance to have it featured on Google.com, as well as win some great scholarships and tech packages for their schools.

We took that idea and made it our own with the MKS Doodle as a chance for you to interact with the mission and meanings behind our school in a creative and artistic fashion. You can learn more about the Google Doodle by checking out the video here.
